Immigration and tax reforms, as well as fiscal stability and increased international investment and trade, are at the top of Business Roundtable's agenda this year, the Washington, D.C.-based advocacy group announced Wednesday.
Business Roundtable, which represents more than 200 chief executive officers from major U.S. companies, will push for new trade agreements, "a more strategic approach to budget and fiscal policy," the passage of comprehensive tax reform legislation, and the implementation of "balanced, sensible immigration reform," according the organization's "Invested in America: A Growth Agenda for the U.S. Economy" [PDF].
The group said it will deliver its 11-page agenda to White House officials and every member of Congress. The organization also will meet with these policymakers in the coming months to persuade them to act on the agenda.
