DuPont 'Fraud': A federal judge in St. Louis on Friday unsealed a December 2011 order in which he found that E.I. du Pont de Nemours and Co. "knowingly committed a fraud upon the court" in a patent dispute with Monsanto Co., The Litigation Daily reports. U.S. District Judge E. Richard Webber in August leveled a $1 billion verdict in the case against DuPont.
Jacket Craze: The popularity of the luxury Helly Hansen ski jacket in the Washington area is attracting crime, including robberies and a fatal stabbing this month at the Woodley Park Metro station, The Washington Post reports. “I would be scared, definitely, if my son had the jacket," parent Kennard Jones Sr. said. "I think somebody would try to rob him on the way to school. When I was young, they would take your jacket, but they wouldn’t take your life.”
