Ballard Spahr has added an attorney to its real estate department in Washington.
Desmond Connall Jr., formerly a partner with Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice, joins Ballard Spahr as a partner.
Connall focuses his practice on the representation of developers, property owners, real estate investment trusts and tenants.
In an interview, Connall said that one of his largest clients is the grocery store chain Harris Teeter, for which he does transactional work, among other things.
At Womble Carlyle, Connall's practice straddled the firm's Baltimore and Washington offices. At Ballard Spahr, Connall anticipates that he will work out of the Baltimore and Bethesda offices in addition to Washington.
"Ballard Spahr is a firm that is on the move and growing in D.C. and I'm thrilled to be part of it," Connall said.
