Well, %150K in D.C. is like $180K in NY, so they're actually beating NY firms. COL in D.C. is high, but not nearly as high as in NY, where an attorney making $160K lives like a Portland, OR attorney making $95K.


So...Big Law resumes the smarmy prestige contest of paying newly minted attorneys egregious starting salaries which they expect the legal consumer to pay for. Does this firm really believe that clients won't notice when the rates go up to support these raise?
