Nixon Peabody has revealed to Congress that it is deploying one of its lobbyists, a former congressman, to advocate for Goldman Sachs Group Inc.
Former Representative Thomas Reynolds (R-N.Y.), a Nixon Peabody senior strategic policy adviser, is advocating for the global investment bank and securities firm on "[f]inancial services regulatory and tax issues," according to a lobbying registration report the law firm filed with the U.S. House of Representatives on Monday. He is handling the account with Nixon Peabody strategic policy adviser Sally Vastola and counsel Douglas Dziak.
Neither the lobbyists nor a Goldman Sachs representative could immediately be reached for comment.
The company this year has used its own employees and lobbyists from firms that include Breaux Lott Leadership Group, The Duberstein Group and Elmendorf Ryan to advocate for it.
