Columbus, Ohio-based Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease has added three intellectual property attorneys to its Washington office, the firm announced Monday.
Susanne Hopkins, William Klima and Ari Zytcer join the technology and intellectual property group as partner, of counsel and associate, respectively. All three were previously with Nath Law Group in Alexandria, Va.
Hopkins said she and her colleagues were attracted to Vorys because of the firm’s focus on teamwork and fair-mindedness.
“It is an ethical, stable firm with no debt and a broad corporate client base,” Hopkins said in an interview. She said she looks forward to expanding the firm's patent practice.
Hopkins focuses her practice on biotechnology, chemistry, pharmaceuticals, biologics, biomaterials and medical devices. Her clients include health care providers, universities and software companies.
Klima counsels clients on intellectual property strategy, business strategy, portfolio development and patent, trademark and copyright protections of technology.
“We're excited to strengthen our intellectual property practice by adding Susanne, Bill and Ari's expertise in many underlying areas of technology,” Benita Kahn, chair of Vorys’ technology and intellectual property group said in a written statement.
