Bass, Berry & Sims has added a lateral attorney to its Washington office, the firm announced Tuesday.
Terry Clark, formerly a partner at Harness, Dickey & Pierce, joins Bass Berry as a member. Clark said in an interview that before making the jump, he had previously worked with Bass Berry attorneys. When the firm was looking to expand its patent capabilities in Washington, he said the offer was too good to pass up.
“We had a very good relationship working together for almost six years,” Clark said of his new firm. “They had impressed me as being very forward thinking.”
Clark, a patent practitioner who specializes in portfolio development, filing and prosecution of patent applications and litigation also does a fair amount of arbitration resolution. He said that he expects to handle more mergers and acquisitions at his new firm. He has litigated patent cases before the International Trade Commission, the Patent and Trademark Office and federal courts.
