A senior Justice Department official has joined the Washington office of Perkins Coie, the firm announced Monday.
Todd Hinnen, the former acting assistant attorney general and head of DOJ’s National Security Division, has joined the firm as a partner in the privacy and security practice. He'll be advising clients on criminal and national security investigations, regulatory compliance, homeland security and intelligence agencies.
At DOJ, Hinnen managed the 320-attorney National Security Division, which oversees counterterrorism, counterespionage and export-control programs.
“Todd is an exceptionally talented lawyer who will bring a wealth of experience at the very highest levels to our clients facing challenging criminal and national-security issues,” Perkins Coie partner Michael Sussmann said in a written statement.
