Lizzie Baird, a securities regulation lawyer, has joined Bingham McCutchen’s Washington office as a partner after 14 years at O’Melveny & Myers.
She will join the firm's broker-dealer group, which has represented Freddie Mac, Morgan Stanley and other large institutions during the past year, said Neal Sullivan, co-managing partner of Bingham’s Washington office.
"Over the past few years, all the talk with the most interesting, most complex cases, came back to the name Bingham," said Baird, 51, who traded municipal bonds on Wall Street for 10 years before becoming a lawyer.
The firm has 26 partners in its broker-dealer group in North America and the United Kingdom.
“Prime brokerage is a focus for securities regulators right now so our clients need our expertise,” said Sullivan, referring to Baird’s experience working with securities.
