Ogilvy Government Relations is staffing back up.
The firm announced today that it has hired two new lobbyists, John O'Neill and Justin Daly. O'Neill, who started today, was previously a partner at Venable. He was policy director and counsel in the Senate Minority Whip's office under former Sen. Trent Lott (R-Miss.) and is also a former tax counsel to the Senate Finance Committee. He will head Ogilvy's tax practice.
Daly starts Feb. 8, according to the firm's statement. He was most recently counsel to Commissioner Kathleen Casey of the Securities and Exchange Commission, and was previously chief securities counsel to the Senate Banking Committee.
Ogilvy saw some departures at the end of last year, when several lobbyists left and the firm changed its management structure (see an earlier BLT post here).
