Morgan, Lewis & Bockius re-elected its chairman Francis Milone yesterday for another 5-year term. Milone, whose third term starts Oct. 1, has served as the firm’s chairman since 1999.
“At a time of unprecedented change in the world economy, I am honored to have received this vote of confidence from my partners,” Milone said in a statement.
Milone, 61, first joined Morgan Lewis in 1977 as an associate. Four years later he was elected as a partner. During his time with the firm, Milone served as the manager of the labor and employment practice group from 1995 until 1997 and later as Morgan Lewis’ managing partner in 1997.
“The partners agreed Fran has the vision, respect, stature, experience and knowledge to lead the firm for the next five years,” said the firm’s nominating committee in a memo to staff yesterday.
