Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe is the latest firm to bolster its ranks with ex-Heller Ehrman lawyers.
The firm announced today that 27 partners and one senior counsel have come over from Heller, which announced its impending dissolution last month. 13 of the new lawyers belong to the antitrust practice, while others join the appellate, corporate, insurance recovery, intellectual property, and securities litigation and regulatory enforcement groups.
Five of the partners are based in Orrick’s Washington office: Edward Henneberry, Jay Jurata, and David Smutny belong to the antitrust practice, and David Klein and Mark Plumer join the insurance recovery practice.
So far in 2008, 73 partners have joined Orrick, including 20 in Germany, where the firm recently merged with Hölters & Elsing.
