Cozen O’Connor has been on a white collar run lately in the District. The firm has just picked up Iden Martyn as a partner, as well as three associates and three paralegals, from the Martyn Law Firm. And last year Cozen scored Bernard Grimm, a top D.C. white-collar litigator.
Martyn represents companies and corporate officials in fraud cases, with a focus on False Claims Act issues. Before entering private practice, he was an assistant U.S. attorney in the Northern District of Ohio and also served as the principal deputy director of the Executive Office for United States Attorneys.
The firm brought Martyn on to bolster its D.C. white-collar defense group and to complement its healthcare practice. Several of the associates and paralegals from The Martyn Law Firm will also practice in Cozen's Houston office.
“We’ve been chasing him for a while,” says Thomas Decker, the CEO of Cozen O’Connor. “We finally got him.”
