Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr announced its 2007 financial figures today. The firm is reporting $944 million in revenue last year, a 5.2 percent increase over 2006.
“We were strong in a number of different areas and felt we had a good year,” says William Perlstein, co-managing partner of Wilmer, who cited IP litigation, securities, corporate and antitrust work as leading practice areas.
Profits per equity partner broke the million-dollar mark last year at $1,064,688, an increase of 8.6 percent, and revenue per lawyer went up as well to $970,722, a jump of 9.1 percent.
“We started to slow down hiring before the downturn,” notes Perlstein. “We’re pleased to have not added lawyers.”
