Edwards Wildman Palmer is now lobbying for Time Warner Cable Inc., becoming the second law firm in less than a week to disclose its government advocacy work for the cable, Internet and phone service provider.
Seth Davidson, an Edwards Wildman partner, is lobbying on issues that include copyright reform and reauthorization of the Satellite Television Extension and Localism Act, which concerns the retransmission of broadcast television, according to lobbying paperwork filed October 11.
Dentons last week also disclosed to Congress that the firm is advocating for Time Warner Cable on retransmission, among other issues. The filings came after an agreement last month to stop a weeks-long blackout of CBS for Time Warner Cable customers.
In addition to Time Warner Cable, CenturyLink Inc. was added to Edwards Wildman's client roster Friday. The firm told Congress that Davidson also is lobbying for the telecommunications company on the reauthorization of Satellite Television Extension and Localism Act, among other matters.
