Gun Control: Duel gun bills in Maryland and Connecticut passed the House. The Maryland bill would require fingerprints of all gun buyers, put restrictions on the mentally ill, ban assault weapons and outlaw magazines that can hold more than 10 bullets, The Washington Post reports. CNN reports that the Connecticut bill would ban extended magazines, among other restrictions.
Korean Tensions: As North Korea ratcheted up its rhetoric, the U.S. is deploying a missle defense system to Guam. Reuters reports that Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel said there was a "real and clear danger" message from Pyongyang.
Wanted: Authorities in Colorado are on the hunt for two white supremacists, alleged to have played a role in the killing of state prisons chief Tom Clements. The Denver Post reports that investigators with the El Paso Sheriff's office issued the warning. The men are belived to be headed for Nevada or Texas.
Lock-down: Fort Knox was put on lock-down Wednesday after an Army civilian employee was shot and killed in the parking lot. The Associate Press reports that authorities are searching for a person of interest.
