Secret Service: President Obama has picked the first woman to lead the Secret Service. The Wall Street Journal reports that Julia Pierson will succeed Mark Sullivan, who retired in February.
Double Jeopardy: The announcement Tuesday that Italy's top court has ordered a retrial in the murder case against Amanda Knox could lead to uncharted legal waters. Reuters reports that the case creates conflict between the constitutional ban on double jeopardy and international extradition agreements if she is convicted and extradited.
