Washington-based Patton Boggs has laid off an unspecified number of lawyers and support staff, Reuters reported early Monday.
The firm has 491 lawyers, including 233 partners and 183 associates, with satellite offices in New York; Dallas; Denver; Anchorage, Alaska; Newark, N.J.; and three in the Middle East, according to 2011 statistics reported to The National Law Journal. Patton, which is one of the top lobby shops in D.C., reported gross revenues of $339.5 million in 2011.
The Reuters story, which based its account on two anonymous sources, noted that the firm will be having a firm-wide meeting this morning to discuss the extent of the cuts.
