A former partner at Ropes & Gray has moved to Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr's Washington office. Bruce Manheim joins the firm as partner in the regulatory and government affairs department. He has more than 30 years of regulatory, legislative and litigation experience, and focuses on representing life science companies in a wide array of matters, including Food and Drug Administration issues, government and internal investigations, administrative and other litigation, transactions, and environmental compliance issues involving biotech products.
The former founder and head of Stoel Rives' patent practice has moved to Oblon, Spivak, McClelland, Maier & Neustadt as partner. Kevin Laurence joins the firm's chemical patent prosecution and post-grant patent proceedings practice groups. He has more than 20 years of experience in patent-related services involving the life sciences, especially pharmaceuticals and medical devices, chemical fields, and other technologies.
