The former general counsel of the Federal Trade Commission has rejoined Morgan, Lewis & Bockius. Willard Tom was formerly a partner at Morgan Lewis from 2000 until he left for the commission in 2009, where he served as general counsel until last year. He will retain his former title with the firm. At Morgan Lewis, Tom will represent clients in merger and non-merger matters before the Federal Trade Commission, the Department of Justice, state attorney generals and federal courts.
Groom Law Group has added Edward Meehan as a principal to the firm. He was formerly a partner at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom in its litigation group. Meehan focuses his practice on commercial litigation, government investigations and class actions.
