A former Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services policy maker has joined McDermott Will & Emery's Washington office.
John Warren joins the health industry advisory practice as a senior director of health policy for McDermott. He was most recently a senior technical advisor at the Centers' hospital and ambulatory policy group, having been there for almost 22 years.
"That CMS perspective is what I can bring to the table more than anything else," Warren said.
In his new role at McDermott, Warren will advise clients on Medicare and Medicaid policy. He said that two areas of healthcare with significant activity are the diagnostics field and hospitals.
"What we saw through the first four years in the president's term was a shift in the landscape of how we view American healthcare," Warren said.
