The Washington office of Venable has added an intellectual property litigator to its partner ranks, the firm announced Wednesday.
Adam Hess makes the lateral move from Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman. Hess adds experience litigating before the International Trade Commission and handling Section 337 Investigations.
In an interview, Hess said that the experience and professionalism of the attorneys at Venable were a big draw in his decision to switch firms. "The fact that other top notch attorneys have decided to join the IP practice at Venable gave me the confidence that I wasn't making the decision foolishly," he said.
Hess added that his broad IP litigation background complements Venable's practice. "My background in the ITC is a nice fit in an area that the firm wants to grow and where I want to grow," he said.
