Steptoe & Johnson LLP this week disclosed to Congress that it is lobbying for a McLean, Va.-based defense contractor.
The law firm is advocating for Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC) on cyber security matters, according to a lobbying registration report. Steptoe partner Douglas Kantor and senior director Marc Frey are handling the account.
Kantor didn’t have an immediate comment.
SAIC, which had revenues of about $10.6 billion during its last fiscal year, provides products and services to the Defense and Homeland Security departments, among other U.S. government agencies, as well as commercial markets, according to its Web site. The company offers several cyber security-related services, including computer forensics analyses, information technology evaluations and training programs.
The defense contractor spent $540,000 on federal government advocacy work during the first three months of this year, the company’s most recent congressional report on its lobbying activities shows.
