SNR Denton has made D.C.-based Mike McNamara the firm's new U.S. managing partner, the firm announced Thursday.
McNamara is chairman of the firm's U.S. public policy and regulation practice and co-head of its government sector. He joined SNR Denton's predecessor firm in 2002.
The lawyer focuses his practice on advising nonprofit, corporate and government clients on issues that touch policy, politics, law and business. According to congressional records, he lobbied this year for Sara Lee Corp. and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
He also was the U.S. partner in charge of directing the integration of Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal with London-based Denton Wilde Sapte to create SNR Denton in 2010.
The lawyer came to the firm from Arent Fox. Before joining that firm, he was a U.S. Commerce Department economist.
McNamara couldn’t immediately be reached for comment.
