A senior vice president from the lobbying arm of Baker & Daniels has moved to the health care practice group at Arent Fox in Washington, Arent announced Wednesday.
Edward Dougherty, who had been at B&D Consulting since 2002, is a senior health policy adviser at Arent. He will counsel manufacturers in the health care industry on reimbursement strategies for their products.
Dougherty said he is “really happy” to have the chance to help the firm.
“I think it’s going to provide the opportunity for a lot of exciting work with clients,” he said.
Before joining Arent, Dougherty led the health and life sciences group at B&D Consulting. He also spent two years at health care company McKesson Corp., serving as senior vice president of its pharmaceutical partners unit.
“Ed brings a critically important set of skills, expertise and connections to Arent Fox's already-strong Life Sciences team,” Lisa Estrada, Arent’s health care practice group chairwoman, said in a written statement.
