An antitrust lawyer who spent more than 32 years with the Department of Justice has joined the Washington office of King & Spalding, the firm announced Monday.
Donna Kooperstein, the former chief of the antitrust division’s transportation, energy and agriculture section, has joined the Atlanta-based firm as senior counsel.
"Donna's tenure at the Justice Department and her extensive experience handling antitrust matters related to the transportation, energy and agriculture sectors give our practice additional depth and increase our capacity to help our clients in their antitrust matters in general and especially in DOJ-related matters," Jeffrey Spigel, head of the firm’s antitrust practice, said in a statement.
During her tenure with DOJ, Kooperstein oversaw investigations related to oilfield services, agricultural biotech and railroad and maritime sectors.
