Jay H. Hebert has joined the Washington office of Baker & McKenzie as a partner in their global mergers and acquisition practice, the firm announced Wednesday.
Prior to the move, Hebert was a partner at Vinson & Elkins, where he worked in the corporate group. He was also a member of the management committee. Hebert has represented corporate clients in mergers and acquisitions, partnerships and limited liability around the world.
At Baker, Hebert will focus on energy, chemicals and telecommunications transactions.
“Jay brings precisely the type of seasoned, proven experience that Baker & McKenzie values,” Elizabeth Espin Stern, managing partner of the firm’s Washington, D.C. office, said in a written statement. “We are delighted that Jay will form part of our continued growth strategy in the Washington office.”
