Zuckerman Spaeder partner Thomas Mason will serve a third term as chair of the D.C. Bar Legal Ethics Committee.
Mason heads Zuckerman Spaeder’s legal profession and ethics practice. He’ll serve another one-year term as chair of the committee, which is made up of about a dozen lawyers and non-lawyers from around Washington.
“It’s a tremendous honor,” Mason said. “Our committee should be a committee that serves the greater bar and helps them with some sticky situations, [to] understand what their obligations are and what they can do and can’t do. That’s what we’re trying to do.”
The Bar’s Board of Governors reappointed Mason on June 15, following a recommendation from the committee. Mason previously served on the D.C. Bar Rules of Professional Conduct Review Committee from 2002 to 2008.
