O’Melveny & Myers named Stevan Bunnell managing partner in the Washington office. Bunnell joined the firm in 2007 and focuses his practice on representing corporate and individual clients in civil and criminal matters.
"Steve is a terrific lawyer and a natural and effective leader and we are fortunate to have him in this position," firm chairman A.B. Culvahouse Jr. said in a written statement. "In his capacity as Chief of the Criminal Division of the US Attorney's Office for DC, he was responsible for administering the Division's operations so he brings very relevant administrative and operational experience to the table."
Bunnell served as the chief of the criminal division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia prior to joining O’Melveny & Myers. He also served as chief of the U.S. Attorney’s Office’s Fraud and Public Corruption Section, counsel to the assistant attorney general for the Criminal Division and assistant U.S. attorney.
"Our Washington, D.C., lawyers are uniquely positioned to help our clients facing complex transactions or litigation, sensitive public policy issues, or critical regulatory constraints,” Bunnell said in a written statement. "I look forward to collaborating even more closely with all of my partners and colleagues in the Washington, D.C., office and globally."
