Major, Lindsey & Africa has added a new managing director to its Washington office. She is Deborah Tang, who previously was general counsel of A&J Restaurant Group.
Tang, who has also served as corporate counsel of the Americas Development Group for Marriott International Inc., will focus on recruiting in-house attorneys for corporate legal departments. She also has some experience as a Big Law attorney, working as an associate in the real estate practices of Troutman Sanders and Reed Smith.
In a prepared statement, Miriam Frank, vice president of Major, Lindsey & Africa’s in-house practice group, said, “Deborah’s experience as a general counsel and in-house counsel for one of the largest and most respected companies in America gives her the in-depth understanding of the Washington legal market that our clients have come to expect from Major, Lindsey & Africa. We are thrilled to have her on board and know she will help us meet the needs of our growing Washington in-house practice.”
