Labor and employment firm Ford & Harrison has brought on two former Saul Ewing partners for its office in Washington. Gary Lieber has joined as partner and Anessa Abrams as senior counsel.
At Saul Ewing, Lieber and Abrams represented clients in such industries as construction, manufacturing, retail and service, hospitality, aerospace and defense, banking, and higher education.
Lieber’s practice focuses on the negotiation of collective bargaining agreements and cases before the National Labor Relations Board. He also handles employment discrimination complaints. According to his online biography, he serves as national labor counsel to the National Electrical Contractors Association and is co-counsel to the Council on Industrial Relations for the Electrical Contracting Industry, the industry's arbitration body.
Abrams advises clients on unfair labor practice allegations, labor antitrust, harassment, discrimination, wage and hour and non-compete matters.
Lieber and Abrams were not immediately available for comment.
In a statement, C. Lash Harrison, Ford & Harrison’s managing partner, said the addition of Lieber and Abrams will “be of great benefit to our clients, particularly those in the Mid-Atlantic region.”
