Government affairs specialists Singleton McAllister, Weldon Rougeau and Ronald Thomas II have joined Blank Rome and its subsidiary, Blank Rome Government Relations. The three previously worked at LeClairRyan. McAllister will be a partner at Blank Rome, and Rougeau and Thomas will be of counsel. All three will be principals in Blank Rome Government Relations, the firm said in a statement.
McAllister said the group moved because "we are interested in expanding our practice, and Blank Rome just provides us an excellent platform in a very bipartisan manner."
In a statement, Carl Buchholz, managing partner and chief executive officer of Blank Rome and a principal in Blank Rome Government Relations, said the three "bring an impressive array of government affairs and public policy experience."
According to lobbying disclosure records, McAllister and Rougeau's clients at LeClairRyan included Capitol One Services Inc., Comcast, and eBay. Thomas, a former deputy assistant secretary for policy at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs during the Bush administration, concentrates his practice on federal and state government contracting.
