The contents of a suspicious envelope discovered last night at the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia were found to be harmless, a court spokesman said this morning.
A hazmat team was called to the court around 5:30 p.m. yesterday after the envelope, which contained an unidentified white substance, was found in the mailroom.
“It was a suspicious package that was found to be harmless,” said court spokesman Sheldon Snook.
