The Supreme Court's public information office has just released a positive update on Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg's condition: "Justice Ginsburg was released from Washington Hospital Center this morning and plans to be at work at the Court this afternoon."
As we reported last night, Ginsburg was taken to the hospital Thursday evening as a precaution after she felt ill while working in her chambers. She had received an infusion an hour earlier for an iron deficiency detected during a checkup in July. Ginsburg's health has been a concern since she announced in February that she had been diagnosed with early-stage pancreatic cancer. The 76-year-old justice was treated successfully with surgery and chemotherapy.
