Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton has picked up two antitrust partners from Mayer Brown for its office in Washington.
Donald Klawiter will chair the firm's East Coast antitrust practice. Klawiter focuses on antitrust investigations and litigation, with special emphasis on international cartels. He has worked in the Justice Department's Antitrust Division, including serving as chief of the Dallas field office and special assistant to the director of operations at Main Justice.
Jennifer Driscoll-Chippendale focuses on antitrust investigations, litigation and counseling. She has represented clients in international cartel matters, merger investigations before the European Commission and Sherman Act Section 2 class actions in federal courts.
In a statement, Edward Schiff, managing partner of Sheppard Mullin's Washington office, said, "Don is one of the world's leading experts on international cartels, which dovetails well with our existing antitrust capabilities. We continue to grow signature practice groups like antitrust."
Klawiter did not immediately return calls for comment.
