After eight hours of questioning of Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor, the Senate Judiciary Committee has recessed for the evening until 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, when questioning will resume.
It was an eventful day, with the nominee responding to several iterations of questions about her "wise Latina" comment and other controversial statements. She also commented on areas of law ranging from eminent domain to privacy and abortion.
