Wiley Rein has added Benjamin Eggert as a partner in its insurance practice in its Washington office. Eggert, whose first day is today, is a former partner with Ross, Dixon & Bell in the firm's D.C. office.
With Wiley Rein, Eggert says he will focus his practice on complex insurance coverage litigation, representing professional liability insurers.
"I have a lot of experience with insurance coverage litigation from my prior firm so I'm looking forward to adding some depth to Wiley Rein's existing capacity in this area," says Eggert.
When asked why he left Ross, Dixon & Bell, Eggert says, “It was a good opportunity to re-pot the plant.” Eggert says it is unclear at this point whether clients will be coming with him to Wiley Rein.
