Leading Lawyers Honored at Legal Times Reception
Last night, some of Washington’s finest lawyers and lobbyists gathered at the Willard InterContinental Washington to honor the Leading Lawyers and Lobbyists of 2008, as designated by Legal Times. They applauded as four were named the tops in their practice areas from that list of expert counselors.
Every year since 2003, Legal Times has profiled the best of D.C.’s legal community in four areas of practice. This year we named 38 Leading Lawyers and Lobbyists in the fields of copyright and trademark, corporate governance, government affairs, and real estate.
Then, the D.C. legal community voted online for the top individuals in each practice area.
The top vote-getters were announced last night. Charles Ossola of Dickstein Shapiro was deemed the top copyright and trademark lawyer. Brian Lane of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher (top photo, left) took home the honor in corporate governance practice. Thomas Boggs of Patton Boggs was named Washington’s premier government affairs practitioner. And Kimberly Wachen of Arent Fox (bottom photo, right) claimed the top prize in real estate.
