Bail For Arent Fox Partner Set at $100,000
In a late afternoon arraignment, a D.C. Superior Court judge set bail at $100,000 for Arent Fox partner Joe Price on obstruction of justice charges in connection with the slaying of lawyer Robert Wone. Wone was found stabbed to death two years ago in the Dupont Circle house Price shared with his domestic partner Victor Zaborsky and their former roommate Dylan Ward.
Magistrate Judge Diana Epps set a hearing for tomorrow 10 a.m. if Price is unable to make bail.
Price, who was wearing a dark-colored suit and leg shackles, stood before the judge, the Wone family, and about a dozen of his supporters with his hands behind his back, not showing any emotion.
The entire hearing today was done at the bench with assistant U.S. attorney Glenn Kirschner and Price's lawyer, Bernard Grimm of Cozen O'Connor. Kirschner declined to comment on whether the government believes Price is a danger to the community.
