Jones Day is bringing back William O’Reilly as a partner - just three year after he left the firm. O’Reilly left Jones Day's D.C. office - where he had spent 19 years - in 2005 for the Committee on Standards of Official Conduct, where he served as chief counsel and staff director from 2006 to 2008. Gene Green is the acting chairman of the committee and Kenyen Brown replaces O’Reilly
O'Reilly managed the ethics committee's oversight and investigative matters. Back with Jones Day, O’Reilly will focus his work on litigation and on corporate, criminal, and congressional investigations.
“He was an important part of the Washington practice," says Mary Ellen Powers, the partner-in-charge of Jones Day's Washington office. "His congressional experience will undoubtedly enhance his and the firm’s ability to represent the firm’s clients on a broad range of matters.”
