Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman bolsters its D.C. energy regulatory practice today with the addition of four lawyers from recently dissolved Heller Ehrman. Becky Bruner and Joe Fagan join Pillsbury’s energy group as partners in the Washington office, Sandy Grace joins as counsel, and Tom Orvald is a senior associate.
Bruner focuses primarily on electric utility regulation and transactions, and has previously worked at both the Public Utilities Commission of Texas and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. Fagan represents natural gas companies and other public utility clients before federal agencies and courts, and in transactions.
Bruner and Fagan’s existing relationships with Pillsbury clients PacifiCorp, Exelon, and American Electric Power, were part of the reason they were attractive to the firm, said John O’Neill, co-leader of Pillsbury’s energy industry team, in a press release.
