Buchanan Taps Government Relations Co-Chair
Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney has created a new leadership role in its federal government relations section.
Washington-based lobbyist Jon Plebani became the first ever co-chair of the section last week. He joins Jack Barbour, who stepped in as chair of the practice this past June, after former chair Ronald Platt left the firm for Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal. In an e-mail, firm spokeswoman Lori Lecker says that Barbour recognized that Plebani’s “background and leadership ability would be a good fit for a co-chair position and as such, this role was created.”
Plebani was chief of staff to the House majority whip from 1989 to 1992, and also served as staff director to Rep. William Gray III (D-Penn.), chairman of the House Budget Committee, from 1985 to 1988.
