Robert Ruyak, managing partner of Howrey, has been appointed to the International Institute for Conflict Prevention & Resolution, a nonprofit that promotes arbitration and mediation.
Ruyak calls the CPR Institute “a natural fit for me.” He explains, "Because our firm is so heavy, 90 percent, on litigation, we're very interested in arbitration. Howrey has expanded dramatically in Europe, and our main purpose over there is arbitration."
The CPR Institute also appointed to its board Michael Greco, a partner in the Boston office of K&L Gates; Anastasia Kelly, executive vice president, general counsel, and senior regulatory and compliance officer at American International Group; Robert Weber, senior vice president of legal and regulatory affairs and general counsel for IBM; and James Zimmerman, a partner in the Beijing office of Squire, Sanders & Dempsey.
