Another Lawyer Leaves Heller
Anthony Mansfield, a member of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission's Energy Markets Advisory Committee, left Heller Ehrman's D.C. office as special counsel and begins work today at McDermott Will & Emery as a partner. Mansfield is the second former Heller lawyer to leave its Washington office today. Geoffrey Aronow, former Heller D.C. managing partner, starts work today at Bingham McCutchen, as reported in Legal Times. Mansfield would not comment on his departure from Heller.
Mansfield, who worked for Aronow during his time with the California-based firm, joins McDermott in their energy and derivatives markets practice.
"McDermott's platform in the commodities and derivatives business fits well with my practice," Mansfield said. "They already have a strong group that has had a tremendous focus in that area over the last five or six years so I'll be joining a great team."
