Just a reminder: Legal Times' Tony Mauro and a panel of attorneys involved in some of the year's biggest cases will be analyzing the Supreme Court's latest term at Georgetown University Law Center on Wednesday. "Sizing Up The 2007-08 Supreme Court Term: A Practitioner's View" will be held at Hart Auditorium, 600 New Jersey Avenue, NW, in Washington, D.C.
The panelists are: former Texas Solicitor General R. Ted Cruz (now a partner at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius); Walter Dellinger, chair of the appellate practice at O'Melveny & Myers (and a former acting U.S. solicitor general); Patricia Millett, co-head of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld's Supreme Court practice (an ex-assistant to the SG); and Malcolm Stewart, a current assistant solicitor general of the United States.
This is always one of the liveliest panels of the year on the Court: Tony & Co. analyze the just-ended term, prognosticate a bit about the term ahead, and also give a practical guide on how cases were handled by the lawyers from briefs to argument.
Tickets are $35 per person; $30 for groups of 10 or more. To purchase tickets, call 202-828-0324 or email LTevents@alm.com. Large group ticket purchases can also be made here (click the "events" tab). This year, the event is sponsored by Thomson-West and Akin Gump.
We hope you'll join us.
