Sure-fire Hall of Fame pitcher Roger Clemens spent five hours yesterday being questioned by congressional investigators from the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform. During the back and forth, the NYT reports, Clemens repeated denials that he never used steroids or human growth hormone.
At Clemens’ side was Covington & Burling partner Lanny Breuer, hired by Clemens to help prepare for the congressional investigation after a report prepared by DLA Piper chairman George Mitchell contained allegations that he had used steroids.
“Roger hasn't declined to answer a single question since this matter began, and he was completely forthcoming," Breuer told the Associated Press.
