NASHUA, N.H. - With a single day of campaigning left before the critical New Hampshire primary, five Republican presidential candidates gathered for their second debate in two days, with former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney coming back hard at his political rivals after taking blows in the first debate.
Romney, who is lagging behind Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) in the most recent polls, continued to clash with McCain over whether his immigration policy favors amnesty for illegal immigrants, and over which one of them is best qualified to lead.
"Washington is fundamentally broken," Romney said, stressing his executive experience in the private sector and as a governor. "Sending the same people to Washington but in different chairs is not going to bring about that change." McCain shot back, citing his military experience and saying he led "not for profit, but for patriotism."
Romney also traded barbs with former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, who won the Iowa caucuses last week. The two have traded increasingly sharp remarks in recent weeks, with Huckabee quipping that people favor a "candidate who reminds them more of the guy they work with rather than the guy that laid them off." Last night, Romney fought back, saying that "You're not going to help the wage earner in America by attacking the wage payer in America."
A New Hampshire win is widely viewed as critical for Romney, especially in the wake of his loss to Huckabee in Iowa, and commentators praised his performance tonight. But the clock is ticking. New Hampshire residents will go to the ballot box on Tuesday - whoever is leading in the polls.

Change of Heart
I love John Mccain
but he can be too much of
a wise a-s for my taste.
and he mismanaged his campaign funds
over this past summer.
Mitt Romney can pay the bills
he ran a successful business
and America's Business is Business
what's so bad about being a business man anyways?
that's all the change i need!
good luck Mitt Romney in New Hampshire

This was not a re-match, because Ron Paul was not there. This was a contest of also-rans. Ron Paul wiped the floor with them all in the ABC debate. I can't blame Fox News for leaving him out. It would be like having the New England Patriots play the St. Louis Rams in the Superbowl -- no contest. Better to let the wimps of the Republican party engage in their bitch-slapping contest than to pit them against an intellectual heavyweight like Ron Paul.
For a great satire on the president, the mainstream media, and the war on terror, see this YouTube music video from the international award-winning zombie musical feature film, “Song of the Dead.” It’ stars horror movie veteran Reggie Bannister (Phantasm, Wishmaster, Bubba Ho-tep) as the president of the U.S. The filmmaker, Chip Gubera, is giving a share of his profits from DVD sales to the Ron Paul campaign. To nobodies surprise slick Mitt has flipped and flopped on about every important issue. The man is a pathological liar, and will do and say anything to get elected. If you are looking for the new and improved John Kerry with side order of Bill Clinton Mr. Romney is your man. All I would ask of the fine citizens of this country is that you check out this website, to take an in-depth look at Mr. Romney. www.trueromney.com
