Powell Goldstein’s Washington office has had a long list of departures this month that includes lawyers who were once practice heads and rainmaking partners at the firm. Today, Houston-based Andrews Kurth has announced that Richard Drom has joined that list. Formerly a partner in Powell’s D.C. office, Drom is now a partner in Andrews Kurth’s Washington energy practice.
Drom focuses primarily on energy regulatory issues. He is particularly experienced in electricity, natural gas, and oil matters.
Shemin Proctor, managing partner of Andrews Kurth’s D.C. office, said in a press release that Drom’s practice will complement the work already being done by the firm’s Washington-based energy lawyers.
