Legally Green

Nixon Peabody has a new song to sing where not only is everyone a winner but it’s also easy being green. The firm just announced that an attorney in the energy and environmental practice is the new chief sustainability officer, a position the firm created to take the “firm wide green initiative to the next level.”

Carolyn Kaplan, who co-chairs the firm’s renewable energy practice, is counsel in the Boston office. Her duties as the chief sustainability officer will be reducing the firm’s carbon footprint and implementing “internal green initiatives.”

Here at Legal Times, we’re still waiting to hear back from Kaplan for details on just how green the firm really is (lime green or some serious earth tones?), but until then, check out this Law Blog post on the news. Or for an extra fun time, turn to Page R9 in today's Wall Street Journal for a full-page ad from the “legally green” firm.
