Barbara Van Gelder has left Wiley Rein, where she was the head of the firm's white-collar practice, for the D.C. office of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius. As a white-collar attorney, Van Gelder represented such high-profile clients as David Safavian, a former Bush administration official who got a little too close to the Jack Abramoff fire. Prior to private practice, she was a federal prosecutor in the U.S. Attorney’s Office in D.C. where she worked in both the criminal and civil divisions for 14 years.
Van Gelder joins Philadelphia-based Morgan Lewis as a partner in the firm’s litigation practice.
